Didactics at astronomy showsIn the previous years our knowledge about the astronomical objects rose faster than ever since. Thanks to telescopes in outer space and interplanetary space missions, we experience a rapid expansion of knowledge. On the internet the latest discoveries are immediately announced and are known to the well-interested layman shortly after. In the presentations it does not suffice anymore just to pick up the elementary topics from stellar mechanics and explain the movements of the moon and the planets. It is a grand challenge for the planetarium to find a balance between the essential learning matter and the innovations of the multi-medial era. In a school lecture, teachers wish for a didactically perfect presentation, while the pupils want to be inspired by an action-rich adventure. The same holds for the heterogeneous audience that expects both substantiated facts as well as leisure. Probably it will always remain a controversy for what degree both can be combined. Planetaria are a link between research and the public. They go a cutting-edge way to generally incite the interest in science and show its relevance for the future. Sometimes a single visit of the planetarium could decide on interest or desinterest towards the whole subject. It is desirable when a planetarium's visit will be prepared in the class. A cooperative class and an engaged lecturer will be a good basis for an efficient learning situation.
