The duties of the Planetarium Coordinator may include: supervise and manage the planetarium facility and staff; create and present programs for public school audiences at each grade level; implement public events and outreach activities; work with college staff to review the program and propose additions as needed; perform other related duties as assigned. For this position, a thorough knowledge of observational astronomy is required: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field, and a Master's degree is preferred. Excellent and interpersonal skills as well as public speaking are required. Also, experience with production and programming and multimedia tools, facilities management, scheduling, staff supervision.
