The Earth and Space Sciences Department is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic instructor to teach introductory Astronomy courses at the Petaluma campus. The successful candidate will be the second full-time Earth and Space Sciences faculty member on the Petaluma campus, and will be expected to assist in further developing the department on this campus. The department offers lecture and lab classes in both Stellar and Solar System Astronomy, as well as an observational field course. A typical assignment might include a combination of lecture and lab courses; however the specific assignment will vary depending upon department needs. Required: A Master's Degree in Physics, Astronomy, or Astrophysics; OR Bachelor's Degree in Physics or Astronomy AND Master's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Meteorology, or Geophysics; OR the equivalent; OR a fully satisfied (Life) California Community College Instructor's Credential in Earth Sciences, including Geography, Geology, and Geophysics. -- For more details visit the website below.
