The smallest models of projectors by Gambato are called GL 800-E and GL 1600-E (image). They can be employed in domes of 3 to 5 meters. The star ball has a diameter of 44 cm and is composed of 800 and 1600 pinholes, respectively. The basic functions of the astronomical movements are implemented and controlled electronically: diurnal and annual motion of the sun. The planets, the moon and the sun have to be placed by hand. Auxillary lines like the meridian, right ascension and points of the compass can be enabled.
